Day of Defeat Enlist in an intense brand of Axis vs. Allied teamplay set in the WWII European Theatre of Operations. Players assume the role of light/assault/heavy infantry, sniper or machine-gunner class, each with a unique arsenal of historical weaponry at their disposal. I've been playing this DoD game for a few months now and I have the following problem: the game is fluid as long as there's no gun fight or grenade blowing up then it starts to lag at hell. I noticed my ping can goes from 30 to 300 during intense fights. My computer configuration is of course not a recent one but it's like two time higher than the recommended one for this old game.
